Gone to the Beach

Hello all. Happy Monday. We went to the beach over the weekend with our kids and our Nikon D40. Why? Well, the kids are fun to hang around with and the Canon Rebel isn't exactly "allowed" down to the beach. Our Nikon was presumed to broken numerous times and the diagnosis was beach sand in the components. Today's share is one of mine and one of Matt's. I was running with the girls quite a bit so my captures looked like I was running with the children. First my shot and then my husbands (edited by me).

A Beautiful, Mellow, Macro, Rewind Kind of Monday

The end of last week was a lot of fun. One big reason for great attitudes was that the mid to late April snow melted. Yes, we did get snow in April. A few times. This day was beautiful and fairly sunny and we got out and enjoyed it. Please enjoy my photos.

Hannah loves to swing. She especially enjoys the swing at her grandparents house. This little yellow swing fits her just perfectly and is low enough to the ground for her to scoot up on and everything.

I borrowed Lorelei's flowers for a moment. She was cleaning up the yard with her Grandma when she found these flowers and picked them. She loves to pick flowers.

Mellow Yellow & Monday Rewind

We went to the park last week and really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Hannah was running as fast as she could and going down the slide with her dad while Lorelei was being a "big girl" and doing everything herself. What wonderful ages and stages we are at right now. 

I'm super busy today so this is what I have for you. If I can add in a macro I will certainly do so today. I have a few things prepared for tomorrow though so come back! Thanks for stopping in. I always appreciate what you have to say and keep in mind this shot is SOOC (straight out of camera). I have been working a lot harder on going all manual so be kind.

A Mellow Yellow, Macro Monday Rewind

Hannah is my sweet little girl who always wants to pick out a new baby from the store. She loves baby dolls, but these tiny little babies were actually mine when I was little. Both girls really love them. There are three little babies in total plus one dinosaur. They are all diapered and used to change colors in warm water to either pink or blue. I love seeing the girls get as much joy if not more out of them as I did when I was a child.

Hannah kept trying to stand up the babies, but wasn't having much luck. In comes Princess Lorelei (that's why her dress is wrapped around her waste, she was pretending it was a princess dress) to SAVE the day. As you can see by the last shot Miss Hannah was very pleased with the end result! (The last capture in the collage was also in the running for Scavenger Hunt Sunday's Groups of Three, but I chose a different shot in the end.)

Monday Rewind: Spring Park

My favorite part about last week was going to the park with the whole family. Not only was it fun with everyone, but it still feels like winter here and this was one wonderfully sunny day.
