Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 4/24

Bubbles, family time, getting outside after a long winter and cold spring is definitely time well spent time. We went to the mall and saw the Easter Bunny. Poor Miss Hannah didn't want to go near him but loved him from afar. Lorelei decided after the second go around that she would indeed take a distant photo with the Easter Bunny. We also went to our families house to play outside and spend time together. Most of these captures were taken on that day. Please enjoy my collection.

Reflections
The girls were given bubble guns. They had a blast and so did I. I was hoping to get a good reflection in the bubbles and it wasn't easy, but in the end you can see quite a bit in this bubble.

Guess What This is...
Lorelei and I both took a moment wondering what this was when we first saw it.

What's Inside
Sidewalk chalk covered Hannah seems to be thinking about what's inside the tote.

Playtime
Here are those same bubble guns I was talking about. Super fun. Lorelei made a bubble garden while Hannah held the trigger as hard as she could even when the bubbles were all gone.

Lawn & Garden
Lorelei picked one of Grandma's flowers while they were picking up the lawn.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 4/17

Being a bit busy this week I didn't get too many chances to hunt for my captures, but in the end I did it. I made it on time and finished up Saturday night after the kiddos went to bed. I hope you like what I have found.

Time
This gorgeous clock which never tells the correct time.

Poem/Poetry
This particular book was given to me as a gift from my Librarian from when I was in High School. I worked in the library, but I also had won a poetry contest. As a graduation gift the Librarian not only gave me inspiration and knowledge but this lovely book.

Outside
A beautiful day watching the local boat taking groups of tourists from the island and back again.

Zoom
I had huge plans to go out and set up the tripod to shoot the beaming red lights of cars as they zoomed by. This did not happen. Time did not permit. I hope you like my literal interpretation.

Isolation
There were two geese swimming along when this particular one fell behind.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 4/10

So here I sat thinking it was going to be an easy and quick post. I knew what I wanted to use, but I kept changing my mind! Ah. For the last capture "many" I thought of grabbing the berries from Friday's post because they were so well received, but I thought I didn't want to use a capture again. I kept changing my mind on my motion shot from our visit to the park today as well. All is well that ends well I suppose. I hope you like my collection. Enjoy!

Motion
Miss Hannah heading down the slide.

Waiting to Click
I have been waiting for a day just like this to take this particular shot. Oh how I love a calm lake.

In Fashion
There isn't anything more in fashion than a nice warm fleece, pants and sneakers for a toddler at the park.

Animals Perspective
I find her expression super adorable. I'm bias though. This is my "animal perspective" as if our dog were looking up to her.

Many
There are many green petals on this beautiful flower. (Stolen from the archives.)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 4/3

I think I may have driven my husband bonkers with this one. Too funny. "Hey honey, can you take a look at this one? Does this look high key to you? What do you think of this? Does it look good that way?" Oh my. Well, here's my collection. The only thing harmed in the capturing of these items were my husbands sanity. (*wink)

High Key
I tried so many different lights and angles of so many different objects for this. I don't have equipment to really capture a fantastic high key shot so this is my end product. I ended up making it black and white. I hope you like it!

Bedroom
I was a little stumped on this one. What is so interesting in my bedroom? Nothing really so I headed to the girls room. Of course it was a mess and my oldest was in her favorite pajamas, but she was more than willing to work for the camera.

Something Tiny
I was told this is a processor. Yep. That's all I know. I had some helpers and some interested bystanders on this one. The pins are definitely tiny.

Off in the Distance
Is it okay that I love my own shot, because I certainly do. I guess I'm not as modest as I wish I was, but I hope you like it too!

Stripes
The end of the night arrives and the shades get drawn. The girls always love playing with them because, well it makes noise and it's cool I suppose.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 3/27

I enjoyed yet another scavenger hunt. I really do like participating and seeing what everyone else finds. It truly brings me joy so without further ado I bring you my captures for this weeks challenge.

1. Decay
Bikes, left over sitting out throughout the winter rusting and covered in last Autumns fallen leaves.

2. Groups of Three
Okay, so you've got me. This isn't exactly "three," but more of three groups of three. Does this count? I have more accurate interpretations and some very cute ones with the girls in fact, but I really enjoyed this shot. I hope you like it!

3. Kitchen
Mmmm...coffee. My morning routine differs between coffee or latte. That would be my difficult morning decision. Every morning my girls and I wake up and Hannah has her milk, Lorelei has a warm "hot" chocolate and I make either a coffee or a latte. (Don't worry, the "hot cocoa is Ovaltine...healthier that way.)

4. Things that make you go "hmm"
My daughter and her Daddy both playing with technology. Lorelei has my Ipod and Dad's using his Android. This is fairly regular; Lorelei using my Ipod. Miss Hannah even gets a turn or two.

5. Me Time
I really enjoy taking the time out to go to a Yoga class with a friend of mine.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 3/20 + Some

Camera Phone:
I borrowed my husbands Android for this capture.
You have no idea how badly I want to tweak this picture. It was such a gloomy day.

Camera:
At first I wasn't jumping for joy to take this shot thinking I wasn't creative enough to make it "cool," but in the end I enjoyed capturing my old Nikon (with my new Canon) and editing the shot. I like it!

Shoes:
When I first saw"shoes" I knew exactly what I wanted to capture; my husbands baby shoes!
They are adorable! This is Miss Hannah trying to sneak off with them.

Also linked up with Simple Things.

Chair:
I find that I get better light outside. This is my bear in a chair silhouette.

Also linked up with Shadow Shot Sunday.

Imperfection:
We were out for a drive and I saw this awesome lamp. My husband noticed one pain of glass that was knocked down and I thought it was perfect for imperfection. Beautiful, but imperfect.
