Macro Berry

I have been working more often on using my manual setting on my Canon Rebel T1I. You may or may not already know that I've only had it for a couple of months so it's still fairly new to me. I'm enjoying really making the shot my own. One thing that I have learned is that using manual is not easy in a house with odd light while chasing children. I have to change my settings to often! Yikes. So I decided to try something new and capture a shot of a bowl of delicious berries. I have to say that I liked the idea (so did the girls who were sneaking in and trying to eat my prop.)

I'll be honest and tell you that my "macro" which was intended for this post of one single berry just didn't come out right. I liked the reflection in the bowl too much I suppose. It was a delightful addition. I hope you liked my captures today!

    Ohhhhh! The aqua with the color of the raspberries is GLORIOUS! Love it! And the texture you captured on the berries is amazing. Beautiful job!

    LOVE the berry shots, the reflection on the bowl...I'm a new owner, 4 months of my Canon. I love using Manual on night shots!
    I'd be trying to eat your props too, the shot just looks delicious!

    Mouthwatering! The colors of the berries and the bowl are especially nice as well as the little hairs being visible on the berries! Yummy!

    I'm very impressed by the outcome of the berries! I'm more than delighted that you all like these shots!     I love the reflection of the wicker on the bowl, Very neat! I keep wanting to play around with reflections but I just never make time for it. I am right there with you on taking pictures inside, they always turn out too dark and or noisy.
