Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 4/17

Being a bit busy this week I didn't get too many chances to hunt for my captures, but in the end I did it. I made it on time and finished up Saturday night after the kiddos went to bed. I hope you like what I have found.

Time
This gorgeous clock which never tells the correct time.

Poem/Poetry
This particular book was given to me as a gift from my Librarian from when I was in High School. I worked in the library, but I also had won a poetry contest. As a graduation gift the Librarian not only gave me inspiration and knowledge but this lovely book.

Outside
A beautiful day watching the local boat taking groups of tourists from the island and back again.

Zoom
I had huge plans to go out and set up the tripod to shoot the beaming red lights of cars as they zoomed by. This did not happen. Time did not permit. I hope you like my literal interpretation.

Isolation
There were two geese swimming along when this particular one fell behind.

  2. Love the goose! That water is gorgeous...I just want to jump in (although I'm sure it's freezing!).
I took the zoom prompt literally, too...took a photo of poison ivy at the top of a tree...definitly wanna zoom in on that stuff!

  7. Great pictures!! They are all really good!!
I gues that clock is too busy casting shadows to keep the correct time.

  8. Lovely, lovely photo of the goose! I love the clock shot, too. :) We got a beautiful clock as one of our wedding gifts, but it was more a pretty decorative thing than a real timekeeper. =)

I think I missed my calling. I would have been happy working in a library. Great poetry shot. :)

  11. With a clock that gorgeous, who cares if it keeps time or not? :-)

    SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?
