Flowers for Mom

Thinking my husband had let Mother's Day scoot by he came back with a very large bouquet with a mix of flowers. Of course the girls wanted their share (and their petals ended up all over the floor in their room) and the flowers were quickly moved to the counter from the table (out of small fingers reach), but the beauty and the magnificent smell is more than worth hiding them on the counter. They are there and they are beautiful. Thank you honey!

Pink Before and After

I must admit I was not prepared today. I have my Theme Thursday post up, though so I was kind of prepared. Well, I have been thinking about how I have not been sharing projects that the girls and I have been working on. We still work on them, but I can't always get the camera in there because my hands are either busy or dirty. Today, I am sharing our bowls that we made. It was just flour and water with tissue paper. We wrapped the bottom of  one of their favorite bowls with saran wrap (after spraying it with Pam) and I let them layer away. It took most of the day to dry (mostly because they really coated it). At the end of the day they did get to snack in their bowls, which they loved!

Before & After: Make A Splash

Lorelei and I were out throwing rocks into the water after a short walk the other day and she just so happened to giggle and laugh while picking up one of the biggest rocks she saw and tossed it into the water. The first toss, she didn't quite make it and the second toss she said "look mom. I can just do this." She walked into the water in her sneakers. Oh, well. She had fun and so did I!

Searching for the best rock on the beach of course.

Hmmm. To throw or not to throw. That is the question.

Well, lets think about this. This rock kind of looks like a baby dolphin so I might keep this one.
(She was filling my pockets full of rocks that, well..looked like baby dolphins.)

Ah. Now there's a rock. "Look at that mom."

Theme Thursday: Water

Another Theme Thursday. Our third Theme Thursday to be exact. This weeks theme is "Water." If you're not familiar with Theme Thursday I'll explain. My friend Jennifer from A Beautiful Life and I decided we wanted to compare photos. That's always fun! We pick a theme and we go out during the week and capture it. We're sharing our themes and photos with you every week on Thursday (the link stays up all week).

We'd love to have you if you wish to link up your own water shot! Please share whatever your heart desires  and be as creative as you wish (in a family oriented way of course). It's always enjoyable to see what you really want to show us. The only thing holding you is the same theme as us and that's water! Have fun!

Water: by Another Day Another Diaper
Carnation. Today I spritzed my flowers with water. I actually had a hard time picking a shot today. I had an adorable picture of Miss Hannah enjoying the pool and even ducks swimming in the lake, but in the end (after a lot of viewing and changing my mind) I chose my flower.

WyTography for Active
Well, I don't think I could love this picture more! I love his outfit as well as his "thinking face!" He is definitely active with his school work here. How great is that! If you haven't taken a look at WyTography's blog yet you definitely should!

Wytography, please feel free to take home your Featured button!

Oh, what the heck....
...a little extra water inspiration. Why? Because I caved and I have to share. This is Miss Hannah swimming and not letting go of her pacifier!

You Capture: Faces

Hannah is looking at her sister Lorelei with a curious expression while at the park snacking on a cracker. I like her face in this photo and I even like the interruption of Lorelei peaking in the corner of the shot, but I think I may have over edited a bit. What do you think?

You Capture: Togetherness aka Heroic Pumpkin Climbing

"I've got you! I will save you" She exclaimed. Today at the pumpkin patch we had a wonderful time with friends and right at this moment Lorelei (on the left) reached over the pumpkins to help her friend over the "hill" of pumpkins. "I've got you." She exclaimed. It was adorable and they really were in it together.

I hope you like my expression of togetherness and please expect more pumpkin patch photos from me throughout this week. Again we had a ball, even though it was in the forties. Yikes.

Please check out You Capture for more lovely shots of togetherness.

You Capture: Flower

The beauty of a flower is undeniable. I was wandering around yesterday just before bath time and I snapped a few shots of flowers. Just for fun I edited a few and this is what I got. I however do not know the name of this flower so please enjoy "unknown" flower and my edit of it. Be sure to check out You Capture and all of the other entries by clicking their button below (at the bottom of this post).

Oh, and I forgot to ask you. What is your favorite? I'm not sure if I have one. You pick!

You Capture & RAW(e): Your Choice & Snacks

This is Hannah, my 15 month old snacking on an apple at the park. Miss Hannah started snacking on apples after her big sister Lorelei handed her the apple she was munching on some time back. I definitely have to watch what Lorelei shares, but she sure loves to share her snacks and has been that way since she was a baby.

I love this photo and I am very happy to share it in its "straight out of camera" form. The photo is so simple and serene plus I enjoy it's natural contrasts. This photo is linked up at You Capture for "Your Choice" and RAW(e) for snacks. I hope you liked my unedited Hannah snacking down on her apple.
